no electric....again

Well, we had a fun day. Someone hit a pole (we heard) and knocked out our electric and cable just before the football games started. Within an hour, the electric was back but not the cable/internet. With cable/internet out, Bruce and some of the boys went on the hunt for a place playing the games. There is a new place in Brasalito that opened yesterday (Don's on the beach- I think). It had the games and thus the boys. It probably made for a good first day for them. It is located next to Cameron Dorado.

Home alone, I spent part of the afternoon making my mom's recipe for bbq sauce. I had to substitute a few local items and it is still tasty. While we had electric, I got the Dancing with the Stars workout video going. I went easy and only made about half of it!

Electric went out again around 230 while I was in the shower. I hurried to rinse the soap out of my hair before the water stopped due to the electric pump. Shortly, the electric was back on & then the cable/internet. Bruce was back to finish watching the games. Tonight is the Cowboy game after dinner. Some locals had some major fireworks going on out our balcony on the beach tonight. The guard came running to tell them 'no' due to fire hazard.

We grilled some local baby back ribs from Tamarindo's AutoMercado. They were ok but not like TX. A nice fresh salad went along with them. Dishes done & time for the game..

Weather today was very windy. Our place is crowded due to the holiday folks. We firmed up New Year's Eve reservations at Mar y Sol.
