3-day trip Costa Rican style

part 5 of 7
Now I go to the bank for payment receipts and wait in line for about 15 min. In Spanish, I tell the young man that I need the transaction made twice. One for me & one for my spouse. I give him my passport and he pulls my account. I give him the account number for deposit and tell him the total amount for the exchange. I again tell him again what is needed. He doesn't smile but gets his calculator and makes the computation. I sign three times and he pushes back my passport/receipts. Away I go. We join our friend to conclude our biz. But of course, it shows the payment was made only once. How do they manage to do this half way, I wonder. We give our friend some cash and he will take care of it later.
We're done. One friend stays behind for some other biz and we walk to Panama to check out the deals. We buy perfume but have no time to get booze, etc. We go back, pick up our buddy and add a young man heading back to the university. The car is a bit crowded for the many hour ride back but we head back to San Jose about 11am.
to be continued..
